Security Update: Trade Technologies not impacted by Heartbleed

Heartbleed Bug Vulnerability Check

You may have heard of a recently discovered security issue, known as “Heartbleed”, that has impacted many sites on the internet. Heartbleed affects OpenSSL, a type of encryption technology that many websites use to keep information secure as it travels through the web. Because of this vulnerability, it is possible that your encrypted data may be intercepted.

Trade Technologies takes its responsibility to protect your passwords and data very seriously. Trade Technologies does not utilize any technology that is dependent on the OpenSSL technology and our site is unaffected by the Heartbleed vulnerability.

The Trade Technologies staff is up-to-date on current vulnerabilities that may affect our environment and constantly monitors all hardware and software to ensure revisions, critical updates, new patches, and virus protections are implemented. Regularly scheduled maintenance operations include testing and verification of our disaster recovery procedures. Trade Technologies reviews and updates its contingency and disaster recovery plans and procedures on a regular basis. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact support@tradetechnologies.com.

Thank you for your business.

Best regards,
Kirk Lundburg
President & CEO
