Ken Kolchier

Ken Kolchier is Chief Technology Officer & Chief Information Security Officer of Trade Technologies, where he is responsible for the company's technology footprint, including the TradeSharp™ platform and TradeBridge API solutions. Based in Austin, Texas, he leads technology strategy, architecture, software engineering, and information security, and helps shape the company's broader business strategy — supporting the continued digitization and automation of global trade finance.

Since joining Trade Technologies in 2022, Ken has advanced the company's technology capabilities and expanded its automation, connectivity, and digital trade solutions across the global trade ecosystem. He established and continues to strengthen the company's security posture across the organization, achieving SOC 2 Type II compliance and reinforcing the trust of its bank and enterprise partners.

Ken is a hands-on technology and business executive with more than 30 years of experience, including over 20 years in engineering and organizational leadership. He has led teams at companies large and small, across consumer SaaS and enterprise backend systems, and on projects spanning the globe — repeatedly taking organizations to the next level by scaling engineering teams, modernizing platforms and architecture, and positioning them for business growth. His expertise spans cloud and on-premise systems, data and analytics at scale, API integration, and the business of software.

Prior to joining Trade Technologies, Ken held senior technology leadership roles across a range of industries — including logistics, healthcare, telecommunications, and e-commerce—delivering practical, effective solutions in widely varying business environments.

Ken is an IEEE Senior Member and has earned professional certifications including MLETR Foundations through the ICC Academy and the Digital MBA for Technology Leaders through CTO Academy.

Ken has spent years making a case he believes deeply: that technology (including today's AI) doesn't replace humans — it distills their humanity, leaving them responsible for what only humans can do.
